Rear bags come in an overwhelming variety of shapes and sizes. Some are simple. Some have a ton of features. It would be easy to crank out a quick review of something as simple as a shooting bag. However, to get a real feel for how a bag performs, takes time. I spend five months working with the new Short Action Precision “Run n’ Gun” bag. I really wanted to see if once the “new” wore off, I stuck with it or went back to one of my previous bags. After five months, it’s still the bag I reach for during most of my shooting sessions. Ruger 10/22 Tactical Trainer (Part 2 do-over) Ruger BX-Trigger
One of the firs things we noticed when we started this project was how horrible the factory trigger on our 10/22 was. Not only was it very heavy for a light rifle, but when loading pressure the trigger would “creep” forward before eventually breaking. This is not a good situation for overall accuracy. The factory pull weight was close to six pounds. This makes it very difficult to keep precise sight alignment on a light weight rifle. The angle of the wrist portion of the stock also made it extremely difficult to get a “straight to the rear” pull. Law Tactical AR Folding Stock Adapter (Generation 2)
Have you ever needed to stuff your AR15 in the smallest case possible? Were you concerned about the terminal energy loss of going to a super short barrel? Does you agency require that you use a “direct impingement” AR platform? Wish you could just break your AR15 in half? Well now you can!

LAW Tactical AR Folding Stock Adapter
While at the 2013 SHOT Show we got a chance to take a look at a very innovative new AR accessory from LAW Tactical. It’s called the AR Folding Stock Adapter.
The current version is labeled as “Generation 2” but in fact the copy we just received has more improvements from the one seen at the SHOT Show. Law originally had a flush cup receiver machined into the bottom of the adapter. They have now updated that with a steel insert. This should add some service life to the part as well as increase the amount of force needed to rip a sling from the weapon.
We just pulled the adapter out of the Mailbox yesterday. Keep an eye out for the installation notes and full review, coming soon!
