Reasor Precision “Pint-Sized” Game Changer Bag Review

Reasor Precision Solutions hit it out of the park with their original “Game Changer” barricade bag. The Game Changer forever changed the way that top level precision rifle shooters address barricades. Reasor Precision was not content to rest on their laurels.

The “Pint-Sized” Game Changer is an evolution of the original design. The straps have been deleted and the overall size of the bag has been reduced. This does not appear to have sacrificed any of its utility. In fact, the smaller size seems to open up more options for how the Game Changer can be used.

The original Game Changer was primarily used as a fore-end bag. The size precluded it from being used under the buttstock of the rifle unless the terrain or obstacle had a severe slope. The “Pint-Sized” Game Changer is small enough to use as a traditional rear bag. The shape allows for a wide variety of height options and adapts quickly to prone or bench type scenarios.

The true benefit of the Game Changer design is how it works on barricades. The “Pint-Sized” version still allows the shooter to obtain a stable position on barricade edges, no matter what the thickness is. If the barricade is narrow, the “points down” orientation will give you a large flat spot to rest the rifle across. If you have to setup on a thicker barricade, running it “points up” will allow the bag to cradle the rifle.

The “Pint-Sized” Game Changer comes with two fill options. Our evaluation sample uses the heavy “sand” fill. This gives the bag a very nice feel when used as a rear support. It also allows the bag to hold position better when shooting from a barricade. The denser feel makes the “Pint-Size” work like the original Game Changer. The drawback to the heavy fill is that it is “heavy”. The heavy fill comes in at five pounds. The lighter fill will save you two pounds, but sacrifice a little of the stability that makes the “Pint-Sized” Game Changer so awesome.

At this time, the “Pint-Sized” Game Changer is only available in waxed canvas. I would prefer a Cordura nylon option. There are three color options (brown, tan and green). The “Pint-Sized” also uses heavy duty bison leather for the single handle. I have seen leather degrade significantly in field use. While I appreciate the feel and look of classic materials like waxed canvas and leather, only time will tell how they stand up to repeated rain soakings and mud baths.

I have used the “Pint-Sized” Game Changer in numerous training days and two separate matches. I am convinced that this is an immensely useful piece of equipment for precision rifle shooters. This is not isolated to the competition world. The “Pint-Sized” game changer is compact enough to throw in a daypack and be available for LE Sniper callouts. The lighter version may be a serious option for military Snipers working in urban environments. The fact that these pieces of equipment were born in the competition world does not make them any less useful in the tactical environment.

The “Pint-Sized” Game Changer is available through Armageddon Gear and sewn right here in the USA. The retail price is $84.99.

  1. awesome bag….have they considered using internal bags that can be removed to change the weights instead of making two different bags? might be just a thought
