In a press release Thursday, Magpul announced that they will be moving their manufacturing, shipping and distribution operations to Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Magpul is still considering sites, but announced its intent to move the corporate headquarters to Texas. The move will commence as soon as the facility is selected.
Doug Smith, Chief Operating Officer for Magpul Industries stated, “These dual moves will be carried out in a manner that ensures our operations and supply chain will not be interrupted and our loyal customers will not be affected.”
The move was prompted when Colorado enacted extremely restrictive firearms laws in 2013. Magpul led the fight to block the new legislation, which ultimately passed and was signed into law.
