Cheap Ammo Deals for Black Friday

The crew at CheapAmmo.com shot us a heads up with a bunch of bulk ammo specials they are clearing out for Black Friday. In some cases, they say their prices are below wholesale cost. We’re talking dime per round 9mm and factory new, brass cased .223 at just $.21 per round. In a lot of these calibers, you can’t even get the raw components for that cheap.

CheapAmmo.com is relatively new as a store but you might know of these guys. They used to be the website A1Ammo.com. They got their start in 1998 in the online ammo game.

The biggest mistake they made in the first 20 years of business? That’s probably picking a business name that is better suited for a phone book than the world of Google and DuckDuckGo.

So… about those ammo specials.

Starting at 7 p.m. (Eastern) Thursday night, look for massive discounts on bulk ammunition. Here is a look at some of the specific ammo specials that’ll go in-stock on their cheap ammo specials page that night:

  • 500 rounds of factory new, brass-cased 9mm at $49.
  • 500 rounds of factory new, brass-cased 45 ACP at $90.
  • 500 rounds of factory new, steel-cased .223 at $79.
  • 1000 round cases of factory new, brass cased 380 ACP at $90.
  • 1,000 round cases of factory new, brass cased 5.56 at $215.
  • 500 round cases of factory new, brass cased 7.62×51 at $209.

For most of these products, they can’t tell you the name of the manufacturer. The stuff is priced below wholesale cost and it could cause the manufacturer to buy it back and cut off CheapAmmo.com from future deals with them. (You know how manufacturers are… they don’t like to see their product’s “value” lowered in the marketplace.)

With the exception of the steel cased .223 and 7.62×39, we do know that these deals are all American-made manufacturers and in most cases, buyers will get bulk Winchester, Federal, Hornady or Remington ammo delivered to their door.

As you probably could have guessed, quantities are limited and of course, things will be running white hot with the madness of the holiday weekend at CheapAmmo.com.

International Barrels Inc. Pre-fit Remington 700 Barrel Review

International Barrels Inc. is a relatively new company based in Chilliwack, BC. That isn’t to say that the folks at IBI are new to barrel making. Their head barrel maker has been in the game for 35 years. That should leave it as no surprise that their pre-fit barrels for the Remington 700 pattern rifles perform spectacularly.

Each International Barrels Inc. barrel starts from the finest 416R stainless steel, sourced from the US. The bar stock is then cut to length and stress relieved before drilling. Next, the tubes are reamed and honed to less that one tenth of an inch from end to end. Finally they are button rifled then stress relieved for a second time.
