Kinetic Research Group T1x Bravo Chassis Review

The Bravo Chassis adds a centerfire sized feel to the Tikka T1x.
The Bravo Chassis adds a centerfire sized feel to the Tikka T1x.

We have been having a ton of fun with the Tikka T1x .22LR rifle. My intention is to use it as a NRL22 Base Class rifle. However, I also want to show some upgrade options for shooters who get the bug and wish to move up from Base Class into Open Class. Our first “upgrade” is to replace the plastic stock with a proper chassis system. We will get “wild” in future posts, but I want to keep this step in the “Budget” category.

We have reviewed the Kinetic Research Group Bravo Chassis for the Remington 700 in the past. KRG produces the Bravo in several different inlet patterns to include the Tikka T3. KRG has now configured their T3 version to fit the T1x. Continue reading Kinetic Research Group T1x Bravo Chassis Review

Tikka T1x .22LR Review

Tikka is well known for offering quality rifles at a budget-friendly price. The new Tikka T1x is no exception. With the growing popularity of .22LR precision rifle competitions (such as the NRL 22 matches), more manufacturers have been adding heavy barreled accuracy oriented models to their lineup. The Tikka T3x rifles, chambered in .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor are common sights at precision rifle competitions. It made perfect sense for Tikka to release a .22LR version for rimfire matches. Bergara BXR Base Class .22LR

Bergara BXR 22 Base Model $565 MSRP

Bergara produces some excellent production class centerfire competition rifles. They have now decided to jump into the rimfire game. The Bergara BXR is based on the Ruger 10/22 pattern appears to tick all the boxes when it comes to a National Rifle League 22 Base Class rifle. With a $565 MSRP, this leaves room for an acceptable optic budget and still come in under the NRL22 $1050 base class price limit. Hopefully we will be able to get one of these rifles out to the range for a full review!

BXR 22 Carbon Model $659 MSRP

From Bergara:
Bergara Rifles is proud to introduce a feature rich semi-automatic .22 LR, the Bergara BXR. This new rifle has custom quality, Bergara performance without the custom price tag. Continue reading Bergara BXR Base Class .22LR
