Green Laser Zero_20130906_T3i_007_1080We test quite a few scopes here. This requires mounting and zeroing scopes often. With match ammunition and reloading components as scarce and expensive as they are, anything that can save you ammo is a huge bonus. We found a quick tip to mount your scope without wasting ammo. Fear not. We are working on the After Action Report for the 2013 Oregon Sniper Challenge. It was a fantastic match. We will be featuring some in our write up and video AAR.

Stay tuned!

Bushnell Fusion 1 Mile ARC – First Look

IMG_2994The sound of the UPS truck is always a welcome break to the work day. This time Big Brown brought us some love from Bushnell Tactical in the form of the new Fusion 1 Mile binoculars. 2013 Oregon Sniper Challenge Sponsor Day

Today was “Sponsor Day” for the 2013 Oregon Sniper Challenge hosted by Cold Bore Competitions. This was a chance for the various match sponsors to present their products to competitors and the public. Admission was free for registered shooters and open only to them during the morning. Gemtech, Tactical Tailor, Leupold, Horus, Trijicon, Ashbury Precision Ordnance and more had their gear available to fondle and shoot.

Most of the products on display were familiar to me. One that caught my attention was the Nemo Arms Omen Rifle. The Omen is a large frame AR with a twist. It is chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum. I have shot various .300WM bolt action rifles in the past. I was curious what kind of manners a semi-auto would have. Continue reading 2013 Oregon Sniper Challenge Sponsor Day
