There are quite a few monopod options on the market today. Most require you to add some type of rail or attachment to your buttstock. The P3 Ultimate Monopod from CTK Precision does not. It attaches quickly to the rear sling stud found on most basic rifle stocks. This is a great option for the shooter with an agency issued rifle, or any shooter who doesn’t want a monopod on their rifle all the time.
The P3 Ultimate Monopod tightens onto the sling stud by spinning a large thumb wheel. This is easily accomplished even with gloved hands. Once the Monopod is attached, there are separate knurled wheels for quick and fine adjustment. The bearing equipped delrin foot allows for smoothly dialing in that last hair of elevation. The P3 Ultimate Monopod has a secondary sling mounting point to allow the use of a rifle sling while the monopod is mounted to the rifle. There are also threaded holes on the side to allow alternate sling stud points.
The P3 Ultimate Monopod is CNC Machined from Billett Aluminum. They are then hard anodized for durability. The monopod only adds 5.4 ounces to the weight of the rifle and is made in the USA. This is a high quality component that was a joy to use.
